These wheels don’t look like the typical rugged off-road hoverboard wheels you normally see of all-terrain boards.
The wheels and tires are more streamlined and have been designed primarily for speed and acceleration.
But don’t be fooled by their sporty look - these wheels can handle off-road terrain as well as any of the best off-road hoverboards we’ve reviewed.
You can use this board to explore hiking trails, dirt paths, and the open road without any problems.
This board can handle these sorts of surfaces with ease.
Riding on these sorts of rugged surfaces doesn’t hamper the EpikGo board’s performance – you can hit the top speed even when riding on bumpy, uneven surfaces, and the board still gives you a comfortable and smooth ride.

This fast hoverboard comes with dual 400W motors to give it a combined power of 800W.
The motors are housed in the wheels and enable to the board to reach it’s impressive top speed of 12 mph.

Despite their streamlined designed they can handle off-road terrain as well as any other all-terrain balance boards on the market.
You can ride this board on a variety of surfaces like mud, gravel, dirt, or sand and the wheels will give you excellent great grip and acceleration despite the rough surface.

The Sports Plus board uses a UL2271 LG Smart Battery.

The battery takes between 1 - 2 hours to charge and will give you an impressive range of 12 miles.

Now this wouldn’t be an objective hoverboard review if we didn’t mention a few things that we don’t like about this EpikGo hoverboard.
No companion app
Although this is a Bluetooth hoverboard there is no companion app from EpikGo, so you can’t record and check your rider stats and metrics such as mileage, battery levels, map functionality, or top speeds.
No mode adjustment feature
You can’t adjust the mode or level of this electric hoverboard.
Boards that have this feature allow you to adjust the max speed limit and the steering sensitivity of the device, making it easier or more difficult to ride.
The fact that this board doesn’t have this feature makes this less suitable for hoverboard beginners and those who are just learning how to ride a hoverboard.
For a board of this quality, we fully expected it to come with these features so the fact they have been left out feels like EpikGo have missed a trick here.
Price
This isn't a cheap hoverboard. The EpikGo is an expensive hoverboard that has been built for serious hoverboard users.
Don't get me wrong, this is a quality device and the price accurately reflects the craftsmanship and capabilities of the board, but if you want to buy a hoverboard without spending a lot of money than the Sports Plus probably isn't for you.
